BBC Three creating short-form videos for Royal Wedding
May 9, 2018
In the week leading up to the Royal Wedding of HRH Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, BBC Three and US-based network Vox will be co-producing three short-form videos.
For this new collaborative partnership, BBC Three and Vox will release videos that explore the questions you’ve always wanted to know about the Royal Wedding but have never asked.
The videos will look at how the events are choreographed throughout the big day by diving into the detail and unearthing archive footage to show how it all comes together. They will explore how and why hats at Royal Weddings are an important component of the day. And they’ll explain how Royal Weddings of the past have shaped Europe as we know it.
Damian Kavanagh, Controller, BBC Three says: “At BBC Three we’re always open to working with people that connect with young audiences and we’ve always admired Vox’s approach to storytelling. They have a distinctive voice and we’re delighted to be working with them for this huge moment for both the UK and US.”
The 3 x 4 minute co-produced videos will live on BBC Three’s Facebook and YouTube pages and on Vox’s social pages.
