Technicolor, Foxtel launch new Now box

Technicolor, a global technology player in the media and entertainment sector, has announced that Australia’s leading pay-TV provider, Foxtel, has integrated Technicolor’s Android TV-based technology into its Foxtel Now box, a next generation hybrid set-top box for its Foxtel Now subscribers.
The Foxtel Now box is an Android TV-based set-top box that offers access to the Foxtel Now subscription video on demand service and includes additional features like built-in Chromecast support as well as OTT access to YouTube and Android TV apps from the Google Play Store. It also features an integrated free-to-air tuner for seamless access to live over-to-air (OTA) content via the Foxtel Now interface. The new Foxtel Now box supports 4K video output for 4K compatible apps and dual-band 802.11ac for best video streaming experience.
