AirTies Wireless Networks, an international provider of in-home wireless systems and set-top box solutions, has signed a new two-year contract to supply Singtel, Asia’s leading communications technology group, an ultra-fast whole-home Wi-Fi Mesh.
Unlike traditional Wi-Fi, which relies on a single Wi-Fi Access Point (AP) on home gateways and routers, Singtel uses AirTies’ multiple Mesh APs (extenders) to create an intelligent Wi-Fi network with faster connection speeds and a broader range of consistent, whole-home Internet coverage. Under this new agreement, AirTies will supply Singtel with its new Managed Mesh system which includes the recently announced Air 4930. These new 2.5Gbps Wi-Fi Mesh extenders are AirTies’ fastest extenders to date.
“Singtel is widely-recognised for delivering innovative in-home experiences and superior broadband services to millions of subscribers,” said Philippe Alcaras, CEO of AirTies. “We share a common vision that internet connections must not only be fast, but consistently fast throughout the subscribers’ homes – which requires a Managed Wi-Fi Mesh solution. We’re very honoured to be selected again to help Singtel serve the super-connected home of today, and tomorrow.”
