Italian DTH platform Tivùsat has boosted the offer of kids TV channels, with the addition of Super!. Now available on channel position 47, Super! joins Rai YoYo and Rai Gulp (both produced by public broadcaster RAI and available both in SD and HD), Boing and Cartoonito (both operated jointly by Mediaset and Turner).
Super! was launched in 2010 under the name DeA Super (rebranded in 2012) and is owned by Italian multimedia group DeAgostini.
Super! will continue broadcasting free-to-air both nationally on DTT (channel 47) and the Sky Italia platform.
DeAgostini produces three other subscription-based thematic TV channels for children and kids (DeA Kids, DeA Junior and Dea Sapere HD) available on Sky Italia. The programme schedule of Super! includes animated series, TV series, movies and other programmes targeted at younger viewers.
With the arrival of Super!, the number of channels distributed via Tivùsat has reached 94, of which 30 in HD and 44 radio channels.
