September 15, 2016
Media experts June and Levira have entered into a partnership to deliver a complete service for media companies and distributors wanting to make content available in multiple formats for both traditional VoD and OTT distribution.
”This is a long term commitment to offer a joint service that includes full responsibility for the complete delivery of content. Taking your content to multiple platforms should be easy and the business model should refl‑ect that. The offer is an evolution of our services for current customers and a way to align our business with future customer demands for a streamlined and complete media delivery process.” – Johan Middlemiss LéMon, Partner at June
Together we are offering an unrivalled metadata, transcoding, packaging, and distribution service. A successful combination of June’s distribution agnostic CMS Comet with Levira’s competitive and ‑flexible transcoding services. June has been providing solutions for metadata and VoD content delivery for 10 years and currently serves over 25 VoD and OTT services in the Nordics.
“Managing VoD content has until now been a labour intensive and expensive task. There has been little competition in the market and no one has offered a competitive and ‑flexible service that includes everything from transcoding and metadata management to packaging and distribution of content. That is where we will make a difference and offer a new service and business model.” – Johan Middlemiss LéMon, Partner at June
Levira has been in the broadcast industry since the 1930s and has a long history of delivering ‑flexible services at very competitive prices with a strong focus on quality and innovation. “We are proud to announce this partnership with Nordic leading Media specialist June. Levira’s experience of and competence in transcoding and June’s CMS and expertise in managing workfl‑ows, traffic, metadata, packaging and distribution makes it possible to offer our clients a solution without limitations.” – Indrek Lepp, Member of the Management Board of Levira.
Characteristics for this new service are low threshold, short start-up time, high quality, new business model, timely deliveries, process oriented, experienced service organization and scalability with the option of including live feed encoding.
