Spain: Atresmedia VoD app on LG smart TVs
January 14, 2016
From David Del Valle in Madrid
Atresplayer, Atresmedia’s streaming and VoD platform, has launched its LG app in a move to strengthen its presence in the smart TV market.
The launch comes soon after a similar move from its largest competitor, Mediaset, which launched its online platform Mitele on Samsung smart TVs in December.
Atresplayer’s LG app delivers Atresmedia’s content on-demand via streaming with HD quality, Dolby sound, original version and off-line watching.
Atresplayer is also available on Samsung smart screens, computers, tablets and smartphones (iOS, Android and Windows), some consoles and Google’s Chromecast.
According to comScore figures, the platform had 3.3 million unique users last November and it served over 700 million videos in 2015.
