Nigeria’s National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) has signed a National Common STB System agreement with Inview Technologies.
Director General NBC, Emeka Mba, stated that the signing was a culmination of many months of consultation and a crucial step towards the DSO in Nigeria. Adding that the Commission through this agreement hopes to create the biggest TV platform in Nigeria and around the African continent. Mba further stressed that the agreement signing was paramount to moving closer towards the DSO and help give birth to the national set top box platform that would enable commonality for all digital services in the country.
Inview Technologies will be in charge of the Conditional Access System (CAS), Electronic Programme Guide (EPG), the Annual Digital Content Access Fee (DCAF) and the Value added services.
