Euronews, Nokia, Microsoft team for Euronews apps
February 25, 2014
Two news apps have been launched in a collaboration involving Euronews, Nokia and Microsoft. The Euronews apps are now available on Windows Phone 8 and Windows 8. Both apps are free in the Windows Phone Store and Windows Store.
The applications are accessible worldwide and offer a choice of 11 languages: English, French, German, Greek, Hungarian, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Turkish and Ukrainian.
“This collaboration with major players in the market is a great opportunity for Euronews to expand on mobile platforms.” said Arnaud Verlhac, Director Worldwide Distribution at Euronews.
Over the coming months, both apps will offer more programmes and features including live streams, news quiz, bookmarks for favourite news stories and a search engine. Moreover, two other languages will be added: Arabic and Persian.
