Madrid-based satellite operator Hispasat is backing the production of Spain’s first Ultra-HDTV documentary, An Hour at the Prado. Other finance is coming from Hispasat shareholder Abertis Telecom, RTVE, and production company Apuntolapospo.
“Filmed with 4K technology, capable of fully capturing the richness, texture and colours of the art work, the documentary will allow those considering one of the world’s most significant museums to discover the finer details of the collections displayed there,” said a press statement.
Hispasat added that it would soon establish a dedicated 4K channel, Hispasat 4K, to help the industry showcase 4K broadcasting.
