Samsung: Connected TV shopping will boom

Shopping on smart TV will boom in the UK, with 25 per cent of people doing it by the end of 2014 generating sales of nearly £750 million (€886.7 million). The forecast comes in a report by The Future Laboratory, commissioned by Samsung
The report says that sport now tops the list for new, interactive TV habits, with one in 10 in the UK and 13 per cent in Ireland saying sports programmes are the ones they are most likely to interact with using smart TV technology.
Samsung TV Futures 2012 used a sample of 2,000 adults in the UK and 1,000 in Ireland, with fieldwork being undertaken between October 19th and November 1st 2012.
