Ecuador pay-TV booms

Ecuador’s telecommunications regulator says pay-TV in the country continues to expand. As at the end of January there are 277,182 DTH subscribers, another 50,581 viewing on MMDS systems and 323,107 using cable TV. The country has 2.7 million TV homes.
DirecTV dominates the DTH sector with 232,000 subs, and CNT almost 45,000 subs.
TV Cable is the county’s largest MSO with a total of 156,000 subscribers.
