Dailymotion free live streaming
January 30, 2013
Dailymotion, the world’s second largest video streaming site, is breaking new ground by allowing creative people and organisations to distribute live content for free. This will allow users with valuable material, such as press conferences, concerts, sports events, or fashion shows, to stream their footage live to Dailymotion’s 106 million users.
This tool has previously only been available for “Premium Users” but is now available to Motionmakers – independent video producers who have Dailymotion’s official seal of approval. Becoming a Motionmaker is free but applicants most satisfy Dailymotion that they are producing genuinely valuable independent content.
The feed can be available to everyone or limited through privacy settings. The live player can also be set up on another site or social network. Dailymotion provides real time viewer statistics during the event.
