Saudi Telecom IPTV subs up 190%
January 14, 2013
Saudi Telecom has reported that the subscriber base for its ‘InVision’ IPTV service swelled by more than 190 per cent in 2012.
Saudi Telecom is estimated to have reached 35,000 IPTV subscribers by July 2012, with the total predicted to increase to 70,000 by the end of 2012, and will go on to surpass 200,000 by 2015.
Saudi Telecom attributes the strong IPTV growth in part to ongoing enhancements to its FTTH infrastructure, which currently covers more than half a million Saudi homes.
