December 3, 2012
Freesat has agreed a deal with Sky to add three new channels to its subscription-free satellite platform – Sky News, Pick TV and Challenge TV.
Sky News is now available on Freesat channel 202, delivering 24-hour rolling news coverage produced by an award-winning global operation.
Pick TV, the channel that was formerly Sky3, is available on channel 144 offering a selection of entertainment programming, whilst Challenge TV on channel 145 offers play-along TV and a range of well-known gameshow formats.
“We’re delighted that Sky News is joining Freesat. It’s an award-winning news service that strengthens and complements Freesat’s existing line-up of eleven news channels,” said Emma Scott, Freesat’s managing director. “With Challenge TV and Pick TV joining today too, the breadth of choice for our viewers, for free, has never been better.”
