Freeview homes now exceed Sky in UK

10.8 million UK homes now have free-to-air digital TV service Freeview on their main sets. Freeview is now in more than 20 million homes in total when second sets are counted. There are now 2.1 million active Freeview HD homes.
The numbers emerged in the same press briefing (above) given by Freeview, and which was used to emphasise the importance amongst consumers of Freeview’s core values and aims, according to Ilse Howling, Freeview’s MD.
