For Sale: BSkyB EPG slot
October 21, 2011
By Chris Forrester
Canis Media is representing the current broadcaster and ‘owner’ of an EPG slot on the Sky Digital UK bouquet. The broadcaster is looking to quit the channel, and wants at least £100,000 (€115,000) for the EPG slot.
The channel, says Canis, is still on air and will remain on air until a sale is agreed. “There is currently a competitive capacity contract in place and parties wishing to make alternative arrangements may incur an additional cost. The vendor has decided to cease its linear satellite service for this channel and wishes to remain anonymous at this stage. Our client is looking for six figure offers.”
Closing date for first round bids is October 25th.
