Samsung: £7m to promote Smart TVs
May 18, 2011
Samsung is to run a £7 million (€7.9m) cross-platform marketing campaign for its range of Smart TVs. The manufacturer claims three million apps have already been downloaded from its app store, currently available on seven of its TV models.
A TV ad, featuring a train journey where the windows represent Smart TV screens, will invite viewers to ’experience the future of television’. The campaign will include TV, print and digital advertising, PR and in-store promotion. It follows Samsung’s £8 million 3D LED TV marketing push last year.
Samsung has partner deals with content providers including the BBC, Channel 5, LoveFilm and YouTube.
The campaign breaks on May 20th.
