WRN Broadcast appoints Ashburner as Chairman

WRN Broadcast, the international broadcast services company, has announced the appointment of Tim Ashburner as Chairman. Ashburner, who is currently Technology Director, has been appointed following the opening of WRN Broadcast’s state-of-the-art Media Centre and the launch of its London-based Media Village aimed at like-minded broadcast clients.
A former Senior Audio Supervisor at the BBC, Ashburner is one of the founders of WRN Broadcast. He was responsible for the company’s technical strategy and growth using new and emerging technologies and in 1999 won the prestigious IBC Engineer of the Year Award for services to radio innovation, specifically for work carried out on DAB and DVB systems.
