ITV drops sales team
January 11, 2011
ITV has commenced a clear-out of its airtime sales team with the departure of long-serving sales director Gary Digby and key members of his staff.
Digby was accorded a great deal of credit for ITV’s performance in 2010, when in a market that saw 14 per cent growth it increased sales by an estimated 15.4 to 18 per cent.
He is leaving the company, along with three of his most senior associates, to be replaced by Kelly Williams, who held the same post at Channel 5 until last November. The change is part of ITV’s strategic review drawn up by Adam Crozier, the chief executive, last year.
