Tesco Digital is in talks with content providers including BBC Worldwide, ITV Worldwide and Fremantle Media to launch TV and film content via its digital Tesco is understood to be negotiating direct deals with content providers rather than via a third-party aggregator. One TV company said the popularity of the Tesco website, coupled with its marketing clout and ability to “sell anything” was a sign of the impact the retailer could have on the emerging online video market.
