Amazon has ordered four 13-episode seasons of new Amazon Original Kids Series Thunderbirds Are Go for its Prime Video streaming service.

Thunderbirds Are Go is a reinvention of the 50-year-old classic Thunderbirds. The first season is scheduled to debut on Prime Video in the US later this year and will subsequently air on Prime Video in the UK, Germany and Austria, following a deal with ITV Studios Global Entertainment.

“We’re thrilled to be collaborating with ITV Studios Global Entertainment on a world-renowned property that kids and families today will embrace,” said Tara Sorensen, Head of Kids Programming at Amazon Studios. “Our customers will enjoy the same action and adventure found on the classic series infused with a contemporary aesthetic and visually stunning world.”
