Brazil nears 20m pay-TV subs

Brazil ended August 2015 with 19.58 million pay-TV subscribers, accounting for a 29.53 per cent penetration rate, according to statistics published by the National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel).
DTH is still the dominant distribution technology with 11.72 million connections (59.84 per cent), followed by cable TV with 7.70 million (39.35 per cent).
Telmex Group remains the pay-TV leader in the country with 10.16 million subscribers (51.89 per cent).
