April 23, 2010
Norwegian triple-play operator Altibox has entered into a strategic cooperation with commercial television station TV 2, under which Altibox is helping to finance TV 2’s recent acquisition of broadcast rights for English Premier League games, and will add all TV 2 channels to the line-up for its IPTV service. TV 2 won the rights to air English Premier League games last February for E500 million, and Altibox will now pay 20 per cent of the total in order to share the rights.
