New mobile app from CanalPlay
April 9, 2014
French SVoD service CanalPlay is launching a new version of its mobile application for all iOS and Android screens.
The CanalPlay app provides a new more fluid and intuitive handling experience with a greater speed of access to content. It also incorporates a system of recommendation, and in the coming weeks will offer a ‘Kids’ secure space.
The initiative will see the app became one of the first in France to integrate the Google Chromecast Dongle. With this feature, customers can start playing a programme on their smartphone or tablet before ‘launching’ it on the TV screen . Once the TV has taken over the content, the tablet or smartphone becomes available for another use. The CanalPlay app also supports Apple’s AirPlay functionality.
The app is free and available on Google Play and Apple Store. Subscription to the service can be made on canalplay.com.
