Sky News Five deal extended

Sky has extended its deal to supply Channel Five with news programming, but a number of redundancies are expected as a cost-cutting measure. Five confirmed the extension to 2012 of the deal to produce Five News and that it may be necessary to cut the number of staff involved in producing the show to reduce costs.
Five began its relationship with Sky in 2004 when it signed a five-year deal to replace ITN as its supplier of news programming.
