November 1, 2012
On Demand Group (ODG), a division of Avail-TVN, the multiplatform video services provider, has revealed that Cablevision, Argentina’s leading cable provider, has chosen the company to launch VoD services to its customer base of more than three million cable subscribers. The new service, Cablevision On Demand, launched this week.
Cablevision On Demand will include a full range of both transaction on demand services, including the latest Hollywood movies, and subscription on demand services where for a monthly subscription, consumers will be able to watch hundreds of TV series, kids’ programming, classic movies and music videos – with full control to pause, rewind, fast forward or watch over again – whenever they want.
“Video on demand continues to provide significant revenue opportunity for operators worldwide,” said Ramu Potarazu, chief executive officer, Avail-TVN. “We’re thrilled by the continued growth in the sector globally, especially in Latin America, and are very excited to enter the market in Argentina with the leading cable provider, Cablevision.”
