FetchTV ISP deals paying off
August 20, 2012
Australian set-top based Internet TV service FetchTV is quickly expanding its subscriber base after the bundling of its service with its partners iiNet and Optus.
As of July, iiNet has begun promoting a bundle of services that includes Fetch television along with Internet and phone services. This follows the bundling of Fetch with Optus’s broadband and phone services earlier in the year.
“Our partners have commenced a more aggressive bundling of the service and as a result, we’ve seen a surge in take-up,” said Fetch chief executive Scott Lorson. “We are now breaking all records in terms of weekly take-up.”
Lorson said this subscription growth would increase as iiNet and Optus launch mainstream advertising campaigns for the bundles.
