Broadpeak, a Technicolor (Euronext Paris: TCH) spin-off providing content delivery networks (CDN) and video-on-demand (VOD) servers for cable, IPTV, and over-the-top (OTT) operators worldwide, announced that it completed the acquisition of its core software technology from Technicolor in exchange for a minority stake in the company.

“Today marks the final step in Broadpeak’s spin-off process from Technicolor,” said Jacques Le Mancq, President and CEO, Broadpeak. “Acquiring core technology from Technicolor will provide Broadpeak with the proper assets to develop our leadership in content delivery network solutions and accelerate our innovation programs.”

This new milestone will enable Broadpeak to further broaden its open ecosystem of partners — including conditional access providers, video headend suppliers, middleware and service platform vendors, and home device manufacturers — for the ultimate benefit of its customers.
