5 extends Piers Morgan Uncensored deal

5 has confirmed a contract extension for presenter Piers Morgan into 2026, following the strong performance of Piers Morgan Uncensored on the channel. Airing on 5 since September 2025, the announcement marks the continued collaboration between the YouTube news channel and the linear broadcaster. The expanded relationship will see a run of new weekly episodes throughout 2026 on 5.
Originally launched on YouTube in April 2022, Piers Morgan Uncensored is an opinion-led news and debate show hosted by Morgan and distributed globally via YouTube and podcast platforms. The digital programme, which has been viewed 1 billion times since its debut, features debates and high-profile interviews.
Since launching on 5, Piers Morgan Uncensored has reached 4.4 million viewers and has achieved a 2 per cent year-on-year increase in share compared to the same slot last year.
Key episodes have tackled major and often controversial subjects, including heated specials on the disgraced Prince Andrew and President Trump vs The BBC. It also included interviews with some of the world’s most recognisable figures, including Cristiano Ronaldo and Sharon Osbourne.
As part of the ongoing partnership, 5 will continue to air a weekly Friday evening round-up of the best interviews and debates from Uncensored, specially curated for the 5 audience, available over-the-air and on 5’s streaming service.
