Following recent pre-sales of the new season of its hit investigative history series Truthseekers in Europe, BIG Media, a global production company and distributor, has secured two new licensing deals with Blue Ant Media for its premium factual slate. Blue Ant will premiere Scanning History (6×60’) on Smithsonian Channel in Canada in March 2026 and Truthseekers Season 3 (8×60’) on its Cottage Life channel in September 2026. The announcement was made today by Danny Wilk, president and co-founder, BIG Media.

“The pickup of these two titles from BIG Media’s growing slate of premium factual series strengthens its ongoing partnership with Blue Ant Media, which continues to invest in our original productions across history, science, wildlife, and factual entertainment,” said Danny Wilk. “Blue Ant Media is a great partner and we are dedicated to supporting their teams by providing a reliable supply of quality original content.”

Truthseekers Season 3 is a captivating eight episode series that follows in the footsteps of its previous two seasons, which have captivated audiences worldwide with its blend of mythology, scientific inquiry, and evidence-based exploration into some of history’s most enduring mysteries. Season 3 will explore lasting popular legends like the Loch Ness monster, Area 51, and what really took place in the legendary City of Troy. Truthseekers is a co-production between BIG Media and RMC Story.

Scanning History unlocks hidden stories within iconic artifacts, ruins, and engineering feats using advanced scanning technologies and 3D visualisation. Blending science, investigation, and immersive visuals, the series brings the past into vivid new focus—making it a natural fit for Smithsonian Channel, Canada’s history and science driven channel. Scanning History is a co-production between BIG Media, WildBear Entertainment,  ZDF Studios, and TF1.
