Vietnam climbs Netflix ISP Speed Index

Six per cent of Internet Service Providers saw an increase between 0.2 and 0.6 Mbps, 75 per cent stayed the same, and 19 per cent decreased by 0.2 Mbps this month on the Netflix ISP Speed Index – a monthly update on which ISPs provide the best prime-time Netflix streaming experience.
Thirty-nine countries and regions were in the top performance tier in February: Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Colombia, Costa Rica, Denmark, Ecuador, El Salvador, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Hungary, Iceland, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Panama, Paraguay, Portugal, Romania, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, the UK and the US all registered an average speed of 3.2 Mbps.
Vietnam saw significant increases from two ISPs since January’s results, with Saigontourist Cable Television rising from 2.0 to 2.6 Mbps and FPT Telecom increasing from 2.6 to 3.0 Mbps. It was also the only country to record an overall average speed increase, rising from 2.8 to 3.0 Mbps.
