Deadpool & Wolverine sets UK box office records

Marvel Studios’ Deadpool & Wolverine movie took the #1 spot in the UK & Ireland box office in its opening weekend, claiming the top spot for biggest opening of 2024 and signposting the highest grossing opening since Barbie in summer 2023.
Breaking several records across the board, Deadpool & Wolverine has already earned the biggest opening weekend for a film rated 15, and the biggest opening in Shawn Levy (director), Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman’s respective careers.
To date this year, The Walt Disney Studios has released the #1 title of May (Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes), June (Inside Out 2) and now July (Deadpool & Wolverine).
Deadpool & Wolverine delivers an iconic, cinematic team-up throwdown which stars Emma Corrin, Morena Baccarin, Rob Delaney, Leslie Uggams, Karan Soni and Matthew Macfadyen alongside Reynolds and Jackman.
Globally, the movie is reported to have taken around $824 million (€755m) since being released on July 26th.
