Survey: 70% of US enjoy alcohol with an Xmas movie

Streaming service Prime Video has delved into the heart of holiday traditions, uncovering the perfect blend of cocktails, snacks, and iconic movie meals that create the perfect holiday streaming experience.
A US survey found that 70 per cent of Americans agree that a festive cocktail or adult beverage takes a holiday movie marathon to a new level.
Additional findings from the survey include:
- 89 per cent of Americans typically have a snack while watching holiday movies or TV shows, with nearly half (45 per cent) saying they are absolutely necessary.
- Americans like a variety when they indulge. They most often reach for cookies (66 per cent), caramel popcorn (48 per cent), marshmallow treats (32 per cent) and gingerbread men (26 per cent). when streaming a holiday movie or TV show.
- When presented with some of the iconic holiday movie meals throughout the decades, Americans are most likely to try canned hickory honey ham from Christmas with the Kranks (43 per cent) or roast beast and who hash from Dr Seuss’ The Grinch (34 per cent), followed by banoffee pie from Love Actually (12 per cent).
- Just 11 per cent of Americans said they’d be willing to maple syrup spaghetti made famous by Buddy in the movie Elf
