Movistar drops Canal Toro
February 14, 2023
From David Del Valle in Madrid

Canal Toro, a TV channel in Spain dedicated to bullfighting, will cease its transmissions following Movistar Plus failing to keep the TV rights to the main bullfighting festivals in Madrid and Seville.
The announced launch of a dedicated bullfighting streaming platform, branded OneToro, has contributed to the closure of Canal Toro, which has been in operation for the last 10 years.
The new streaming platform has gained the rights to the main bullfighting festivals in Spain but there is no news yet pertaining to when it will be up and running.
