SVoD surges in Spain with Netflix in the lead

Spaniards are increasingly spending more time watching content on SVoD services. The latest survey by consultancy firm GECA reveals that almost 90 per cent respondants say that they have significantly increased their time using OTT services by an average of 26 per cent.
Netflix leads the market with 75 per cent of SVoD consumers having access to the platform. Amazon Prime Video is in second place with a 60.4 per cent, and HBO is third with 29.5 per cent.
The most popular time of usage for SVoD services is between 9pm and 11pm. TV series are the most widely watched content.
