Motive Television’s subsidiary Adecq Digital (TV Anytime) has filed for a new patent for its Bestv technology. The patent, filed in Spain on February 11th but with plans to be extended throughout the EU, allows for “Ad Insertion Solution in a Push Environment”, says Motive.
A statement from Motive says: “This highly developed technology enables advertisers to precisely target terrestrial Pay-TV subscribers who can receive push video on demand programming by inserting targeted advertising commercials into relevant programming. For example motoring programmes would be suitable for ads for cars, holiday programmes would receive ads for holidays. The technology also allows applicable advertising to be inserted into auto-recorded and pre-recorded programming before it is viewed.”
Commenting on the filing, Andre Vanyi-Robin, MD of Bestv said, “This proposed patent highlights the flexibility and the continued evolution of our patented TV Anytime platform. It gives advertisers increased impact through a more targeted and individualised marketing approach for a specific market need, that we identified through our client and industry relationships. We will continue developing new features and capabilities to further enhance Motive Television’s end-to-end service offering for broadcast and pay television operators.”
