Movistar reaches 10m global subs

Telefónica’s pay-TV platform Movistar has reached 10 million TV subscribers worldwide, according to its own data from the end of the third quarter of 2018.
Some 5.12 million households around the world receive Movistar via IPTV, most of them in Spain with around 4.2 million homes; 3.72 million receive their sigal through satellite and 1.04 via OTT. In Q3 2-18, Movistar captured 470,000 subscribers worldwide.
Movistar has a notably strong presence in the Latin America market where the company is speeding up its penetration thanks to OTT.
