TiVo renews IP licence deal with Alticast

TiVo has announced that Alticast, an end-to-end media technology provider, has renewed its intellectual property (IP) licence to deliver advanced entertainment products in Korea.
The IP licence covers the patent portfolio of Rovi Corporation, a TiVo company, enabling Alticast to deliver video solutions to Korea’s leading entertainment industry players, including IPTV, cable and DTH platform providers.
“With access to a TiVo patent portfolio, we can further deliver advanced, future-ready solutions for our customers to stay relevant amidst a fragmented market, while providing high-performance entertainment experiences to consumers,” said Dosa Park, Head of Platform Business Division, Alticast.
