Spain: Pay-TV nears 6m homes

Pay-TV penetration is increasingly growing in Spain with 5.75 million homes subscribing to a service at the end of the first quarter, up 200,000 against the previous quarter.
The Latest figures from Spain’s National Authority for Markets and Competition (CNMC) reveal that 81.2 per cent of the households are receiving it through a convergent package.
Total pay-TV revenues are also increasing reaching €622 million, up 22 per cent, against FTA TV’s €441 million (representing 79.2 per cent of all revenues).
