August 7, 2026

Channel 4 will air all knock-out fixtures in the TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2026, marking the first time matches from the tournament have been shown live by a UK broadcaster.

Taking place in the Moroccan cities of Rabat and Casablanca, WAFCON 2026 is the biggest edition of the tournament in its history, featuring 16 nations competing in four groups. Following the group stage of the competition, Channel 4 will broadcast the quarter final ties being played on August 8th and 9th and the semi-final clashes on August 12th, all on the Channel 4 Sport YouTube channel. The final will then air on E4 on August 16th.

Joe Blake-Turner, Interim Head of Sport at Channel 4, commented: “We’re delighted to once again partner with CAF and IMG to bring viewers coverage of the knockout stages of the TotalEnergies Women’s Africa Cup of Nations. WAFCON is a showcase of the growing women’s game across Africa and a strong addition to our football portfolio, building on our coverage of AFCON 2025 and the African Champions League Final. These rights further reinforce Channel 4’s commitment to women’s sport, including through our coverage of the Women’s FA Cup.”

Sam Gale, VP, UK, Ireland, CEE & MENA, Rights, IMG, added: “Channel 4 is a strong home for the knockout stages of the TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2026, and this deal is an important step in expanding the tournament’s reach in the UK. WAFCON reflects the continued rise of women’s football across Africa, and we are proud to have helped bring its biggest matches to a broader audience.”

The rights deal was facilitated in partnership with IMG, the international media rights and sponsorship agency for the Confédération Africaine de Football.
