Roundhouse Comedy Festival 2026 announces Dropout’s UK debut

June 24, 2026

Acclaimed comedy streaming platform Dropout will make its first ever UK performance at the Roundhouse Comedy Festival 2026 with two of its most beloved live shows. Crowd Control (August 7th, 7:30pm) and Um, Actually (August 8th, 7:30pm) bring Dropout’s chaotic blend of improv, gameshow comedy and audience interaction to the iconic Roundhouse in Camden.

Dropout has become one of the most influential comedy platforms of recent years. Its arrival at Roundhouse Comedy Festival marks a major moment for UK fans, offering audiences the chance to experience these cult hit shows live and in person for the first time outside the US.

Opening the run on August 7th is Crowd Control, the fully improvised stand-up show hosted by comedian, actor and podcaster Jacquis Neal (Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, Grand Crew, How I Met Your Father). Built entirely from audience suggestions and stories, no two performances are ever the same. Joining Jacquis for the UK debut are acclaimed stand-up comedian and writer Gbemi Oladipo, comedian and actor Hannah Pilkes (Leanne, Hacks) and Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee Sarah Keyworth, creating a one-off live experience shaped entirely by the crowd.

On August 8th, Um, Actually makes its first ever live appearance outside the United States. Hosted by actor, writer and tabletop gaming favourite Ify Nwadiwe (Workaholics, Twisted Metal, Dimension 20, Critical Role), alongside fact-checker and internet favourite Brian David Gilbert, the cult trivia game show invites contestants to correct deliberately inaccurate statements about film, television, gaming, comics and wider pop culture. Joining the panel are stand-up comedian Aurie Styla, comedian and gaming expert Ellie Gibson and award-winning writer, actor and comedian Jordan Gray.

Rounding out Dropout’s festival debut is Dirty Laundry, the platform’s popular cocktail-fuelled guessing game.

Following a successful debut in 2023, Roundhouse Comedy Festival returns from August 1st–18th with an even bigger and more ambitious programme yet. Co-programmed by Berk’s Nest, the festival spans stand-up, live podcasts, gameshows, theatrical comedy and special one-off performances, while also celebrating 20 years since the Roundhouse reopened as an independent multi-arts venue and youth charity.

Across the festival, audiences can expect appearances from some of comedy’s biggest names, including Joe Lycett, Frank Skinner, Katherine Ryan, Sam Campbell, Ed Gamble, Sara Pascoe and Vittorio Angelone, alongside special one-off tour show performances from Kristen Schaal and Jack Rooke. Highlights include live podcast recordings from Alexei Sayle and Adam Buxton, specially curated mixed bills, experimental new material nights and theatrical comedy performances, showcasing the breadth and variety of contemporary comedy across the UK and internationally.

Continuing their commitment to accessibility, the Roundhouse and Berk’s Nest will once again make 30 tickets available at £5 for every performance to audience members aged 30 and under.
