Starlink now working in 27 African nations

By Chris Forrester
Elon Musk recently announced that Starlink had obtained its operating licence in the Central African Republic (CAR). That was the good news, but there was also bad news from Namibia which declined Starlink’s application to start offering broadband services.
The CAR news means that Starlink is now available in 27 out of 54 African countries.
There are still many potentially highly lucrative nations where Starlink is not available. These include South Africa as well as Egypt, Algeria, Morocco, Cameroon, Gabon, Cote d’Ivoire, Tunisia, Libya, Sudan and Ethiopia.
