yallo expands content discovery on yallo TV with Media Distillery

yallo, a full-service telco provider in Switzerland, has expanded yallo TV with an expansion of its Highlights feature with the addition of auto-generated video previews, powered by Media Distillery’s Preview Distillery. This enhancement allows yallo TV to expand the availability of highlights by 20 per cent, helping viewers to discover more engaging content quickly.
yallo TV’s existing Highlights feature, crafted by its editorial team, presents short, curated video previews that capture the essence of shows and movies, as well as promos for upcoming events like sports. With the integration of Media Distillery’s Preview Distillery, yallo TV is now expanding Highlights to include auto-generated previews. The spoiler-free previews, which are 15-20 seconds long, give viewers a good overview of a programme and help them decide what to watch. The Highlights are shown on all devices – including smart TVs and mobile devices.
These previews will be available for movies, shows and series in German, French and Italian. 200 clips are provided each month, without any editorial workload. With the ever-increasing availability of content, we want to support viewers find relevant content quickly. yallo TV’s editorial team currently produces 80 highlights per week for catch-up content and event promos, such as sports games. The auto-generated Highlights from Media Distillery complement these editorial-made previews. The solution is seamlessly integrated via Media Distillery’s API, allowing yallo TV to combine both editorial and auto-generated content for a richer, more diverse viewer experience.
Media Distillery and yallo TV have worked intensively to ensure the auto-generated previews meet the high standards set by yallo TV’s editorial team.
