EasyTools ensures technical distribution of Ligue 1 feeds for Mediawan Diffusion to operators

EasyTools, a specialist in versatile software video infrastructure solutions, has announced that its software solution powers the infrastructure used to distribute Ligue 1 feeds to operators since August.
The EasyTools platform includes features for receiving, recording, encoding, processing, distributing, and monitoring, enabling the simultaneous management of up to nine matches. It also supports the playout of pre-recorded content in addition to live broadcasts.
As part of the technical distribution of Ligue 1 content, a high-performance, flexible and easily deployable solution was required to guarantee end-to-end service for all operators involved. EasyTools met these requirements by providing a comprehensive and adaptable platform, centralising operations for increased simplicity and responsiveness.
The solution receives SDI and IP signals for up to nine matches at once. Each feed is encoded in 4:2:2 quality, with outputs available in both interlaced and progressive formats. The signals are then processed for format conversion, logo insertion, and Kantar audio watermarking before distribution. An integrated multiviewer with alerts provides advanced quality monitoring.
By structuring this setup, it was possible to reduce the number of parties involved, accelerate implementation, and streamline communication between all stakeholders in the project. As a result, the technical platform was installed in less than a month, enabling over 600,000 subscribers to enjoy live Ligue 1 broadcasts from the very first weekend.
This technical setup, deployed by EasyTools for Mediawan Diffusion as a Ligue 1 service provider, directly contributes to the reliability and quality of feed distribution to all operator partners.
