September 16, 2025

By Nik Roseveare

WWE is set to showcase its new Premium Live Event (PLE), Wrestlepalooza, which will see celebrated WWE Superstars AJ Lee and Brock Lesnar make their long-awaited in-ring returns. The PLE – which takes place at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, India – will stream live on Netflix in the UK & Ireland from 11.30pm BST on September 20th, as part of the monthly subscription.

Wrestlepalooza was originally an ECW event series that ran from 1995-2000, but this fifth edition marks the first time the event will be held under the WWE banner.

John Cena vs Brock Lesnar

For one last time John Cena and Lesnar will go to war, with Cena currently on his farewell tour and set to retire later this year. Lesnar made a shock return to WWE by attacking Cena at SummerSlam earlier this summer, following Cena’s defeat to Cody Rhodes. This was followed up with another attack from Lesnar on SmackDown, during Cena’s United States title match against Sami Zayn. It will be the first time these two will go head-to-head since 2014, which ended in a Cena victory.

Undisputed WWE Championship Match: Cody Rhodes (c) vs Drew McIntyre

Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes seeks revenge against Drew McIntyre, after McIntyre had put him out of action with a brutal Claymore through the announce table. Rhodes made a fiery return on SmackDown, interrupting McIntyre’s post-match assault on Randy Orton. The American Nightmare stormed the ring, attacked the Scottish Psychopath, and issued a title clash at Wrestlepalooza.

AJ Lee and CM Punk vs Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins and Becky Lynch

CM Punk and AJ Lee will be taking on fellow married couple Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch in a high stakes, Mixed Tag Team match. Rollins had already set drawn heat by cashing in his Money In The Bank match on Punk at SummerSlam, going on to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, then retaining the title after Lynch hit Punk with a low blow. AJ Lee made a huge retuen earlier this month, after ten years out of the wrestling spotlight, attacking Lynch on SmackDown, making this mixed Tag-Team match a must-watch.

WWE Women’s World Championship Match: Iyo Sky vs Stephanie Vaquer

Following Naomi’s pregnancy announcement, the WWE Women’s Championship title was left vacant. Raw GM Adam Pearce has since confirmed that the new Women’s World Champion will be crowned at Wrestlepalooza. The showdown will feature Vaquer, who is fresh off a Battle Royal win at Evolution, taking on Sky, who was set to challenge Naomi before the title was vacated.

The Usos vs The Vision

The Usos, Jimmy and Jey, will reunite to face The Vision, Bron Breaker and Bronson Reed, who are aligned with WWE World Heavyweight Champion Rollins. The pair recently injured The Usos’ cousin Roman Reigns on Monday Night Raw, and have been causing havoc for months.

Raw and SmackDown

UK & Ireland viewers can also tune into SmackDown live on Netflix on September 20th from 1am BST. This will be the last show before Wrestlepalooza. The first Raw following the events of Wrestlepalooza will take place the night of September 22nd from midnight – which will also be available for all UK & Ireland viewers live on Netflix.
