VeEX announces Optical Connector Protector system
July 17, 2025
VeEX, a provider of innovative test and measurement solutions for next-generation networks, has announced the industry’s first Optical Connector Protector system featuring field-replaceable ferrules for its comprehensive range of high-performance fibre optic testers.
The patent pending Connector Protector safeguards the internal end-face of calibrated optical test ports, preserving measurement accuracy, preventing contamination and damage, and eliminating costly downtime. This one-of-a-kind design extends the instrument’s lifespan and boosts field productivity.
Key features and benefits:
- Field-replaceable, no tools required
- Compatible with SC, FC and LC connectors (APC & UPC)
- Lowest cost solution on the market
- Retrofit option available for existing test sets returned for repair or recalibration
- Optimised design where only the damaged ferrule assembly is replaced; reduces waste and carbon footprint
“Worn or damaged optical interfaces can significantly impact measurement performance,” said Cyrille Morelle, President and CEO at VeEX. “Our game changing Connector Protector system allows technicians to make quick, on-site repairs, eliminating the need to send instruments in for service, reducing the total cost of ownership and ensuring consistent measurement integrity.”
