Barlett named Hyperoptic COO
March 14, 2025
Alternative full-fibre broadband provider Hyperoptic has appointed Mark Barlett as its new Chief Operating Officer.
According to Hyperoptic, Barlett’s extensive operational experience gained in senior leadership positions at Openreach, BT and, more recently, at Cellnex provides him with the ideal credentials to lead on key strategic initiatives, drive operational excellence and governance, and deliver a best-in-class customer experience.
“With ambitious targets and growth plans for 2025 and beyond, Mark’s impressive track record, knowledge and expertise put him in good stead to challenge the status quo, bolster our growth – especially within the new build market – and ensure we are continuously improving to deliver against our customer promises,” commented Dana Tobak CBE, Hyperoptic CEO and co-founder.
“I’m delighted to be joining the team at Hyperoptic at such a pivotal stage of its growth,” added Barlett. “This is familiar territory as I previously led the super and ultra-fast fibre programmes at Openreach; however, the strong customer focus here at Hyperoptic resonated strongly with me. I am looking forward to supporting the team on its transformational journey to become the UK’s most loved and desired broadband provider.”
