Frequency expands Managed Channel Services to Europe

October 21, 2024

Frequency, the engine behind some of the world’s best-known streaming television channels, has announced at MIPCOM the European expansion of its Managed Channel Services (MCS) division. Launched in the US to support rights holders and brands creating premium FAST channels, Frequency is now extending MCS and its end-to-end channel solutions to English-speaking Europe, with plans to enter language-specific territories in 2025.

Blair Harrison, CEO of Frequency, commented: “FAST channels have rapidly become central to global streaming strategies, blending the best of linear and on-demand discovery and consumption models. As we bring our Managed Channel Services to Europe, we are providing a turnkey solution that allows content owners to reach new audiences quickly and efficiently, tapping into the rising demand for ad-supported streaming.”

Frequency MCS offers an all-inclusive suite of services, ranging from library and rights evaluation, creative packaging and production, media operations, scheduling, and on-air creative, to ongoing channel promotion and optimisation.

Frequency MCS uses proprietary tools for advanced engagement analysis and intelligent programming optimisation, and advanced reporting and metadata enrichment. MSC provides tailored solutions for brands, studios, and rights holders entering the FAST space. Frequency MCS can uniquely analyse large content libraries and deliver insights that enhance channel performance and audience engagement.

“Our goal is to empower content owners to efficiently launch FAST channels that are not only visually compelling but also aligned with audience demand and platform dynamics,” added Jon Cohen, Chief Revenue Officer at Frequency. “With the European market poised for significant growth in FAST, we are ready to help media companies unlock new revenue streams and enhance their brand presence.”

MCS’s entry into the European market comes at a pivotal time, with major studios and platforms adopting more ad-centric strategies. By offering channel launch strategies, operational support, creative and branding solutions, and marketing partnerships with streaming platforms, Frequency says it is well-positioned to meet the unique needs of the European FAST ecosystem.
