Deadpool & Wolverine surpasses $1bn at Box Office

Marvel Studios’ Deadpool & Wolverine has crossed the $1 billion (€0.91bn) mark at the global Box Office, becoming the 31st film from The Walt Disney Studios (including three Fox films pre-acquisition) and the eleventh title in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (including two for Sony) to reach this milestone.
With Inside Out 2 and Deadpool & Wolverine, Disney now has the top two movies of the year and back-to-back $1 billion hits, the only studio ever to release back-to-back $1 billion films in a given year.
In its third weekend of release, Deadpool & Wolverine grossed a further £4.08 million in the UK and Ireland bringing its cumulative total as of today to £43.67 million, currently the second biggest film of 2024 in the UK and Ireland with only Inside Out 2 ahead (£54.3 million). In addition, it has become the fifth highest grossing superhero film ever in EMEA (overtaking Dark Knight Rises). It is the second highest R-rated release of all-time globally, having just passed Oppenheimer ($975 million).
