LMG chooses EVS Strada for AEW production trucks
April 15, 2024

Live Media Group (LMG), the mobile production truck provider for entertainment and sporting events across North America, has selected EVS’ Strada routing solution to power its production trucks.
This joint announcement was made at the NAB Show in Las Vegas. Michael Sullivan, President of Live Media Group, commented: “With multiple years of experience in evaluating ST 2110 systems, it became clear that the EVS Strada solution is industry-leading and perfectly aligns with our requirements for capabilities, functionality and system stability, making it the ideal choice to serve as the core of our new production trucks. Our project team, lead by Chief Engineer, Kevin Norris, and VP of Engineering, Scott Tucker, have worked tirelessly on this project and we’re extremely excited to see these trucks in action.”
Strada, a blend of EVS’ Cerebrum broadcast control and monitoring system with the networked attached processor Neuron, delivers advanced router capabilities via customisable interfaces and flexible IP/SDI I/O for real-time uncompressed video/audio. It also seamlessly integrates Arista’s Ethernet switches and Providius’ NVRT network performance monitoring solution.
Sullivan added: “Strada’s powerful processing capabilities as well as significant third-party interoperability were also important factors in our decision making.”
LMG comprises a range of production trucks, from 53′ double expandable UHD trucks to 20′ production/uplink hybrid trucks, ensuring top-tier coverage for events of all scales. These trucks cater to sports broadcasters, leagues, entertainment events, concerts, and corporate partners throughout North America. The Strada solution will serve as the core of two of the 53’ expandable production trucks capable of UHD/HDR coverage of AEW, set to be operational by June with extensive client testing before going live later this summer.
“These trucks are custom built for this highly technical diverse show which requires an extremely detailed level of planning. The teams from AEW as well as Broadcast Service Group who handles the production for this show have been tremendous partners and EVS has answered the call on any needs for this show,” commented Michael Sullivan.
David Pinkel, SVP Sales, North America at EVS, said: “LMG’s investment in our Strada routing solution opens the door for expanded capabilities and streamlined IP operations. It also marks a significant milestone in the ongoing expansion of our Media Infrastructure portfolio of solutions.”
Sullivan concluded: “EVS has always been a key partner for Live Media, as well as our partner divisions. Our relationship has been instrumental in delivering the best possible solutions to our customers, and we’re excited to expand that partnership going forward.”
